Plaintiffs in the Mopac/SH 45 SW toll loop lawsuit filed an appeal with the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals seeking immediate review of the trial court’s denial of our request for a preliminary injunction. The Plaintiffs also requested a preliminary injunction from the appellate court in order to prevent TxDOT from clearing the SH 45 SW right of way beginning November 8th.

AUSTIN, Tex. – March 15, 2016 – Save Our Springs Alliance filed suit in Travis County District Court against one of San Antonio Water System’s partners in the controversial “Vista Ridge” water pipeline project. The suits seeks to force the Central Texas Regional Water Supply Corporation to release public information related to the condemnation of private land for the pipeline and pump stations, correspondence between the Corporation and other project partners, and copies of minutes from the Corporation’s board of directors meetings.

The suit seeks to stop construction of the proposed SH 45 SW toll road extension to South Mopac, the addition of six non-tolled lanes to the southern 2.1 miles of Mopac, and the addition of 2 to 4 toll lanes to the 8.1 mile stretch of Mopac from north of Slaughter Lane to Cesar Chavez until a federal environmental study is completed on the entire three-segment project.
