Tomorrow night a public meeting will take place at the Blanco Old County Courthouse, 300 Main Street, to take public comment on the City of Blanco's proposal to discharge up to 1.6 million gallons per day of sewage into the Blanco River. They are currently treated and irrigated on land less than one-tenth this amount of sewage. In other words, Blanco leaders think they need sewer capacity for 1000 percent, or ten-fold growth.

You can help stop this pollution putsch by attending the meeting tomorrow, Thursday, at 7:00 p.m. You may also file comments stating your opposition online at the link and referenced below. Tell Blanco and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to shelve this permit request and MAKE ALL OF OUR HILL COUNTRY STREAMS OFF LIMITS FOR SEWAGE DUMPING!!.
