LEARNING OPPORTUNITIESThe Fragile World of Barton Springs and the Edwards Aquifer Presentation
The Edwards Aquifer Ecosystem cannot speak for itself. Only citizens who take the time to learn the ways of the land, water, wildlife, and people can speak in favor of policies that will protect and sustain the Aquifer and its contributing watersheds.
We strive to educate Central Texans of the natural and cultural value of the Edwards Aquifer and its Great Springs. We offer a multimedia presentation that covers all the basic information that people need to know to become engaged and active citizens. The presentation lasts about twenty minutes, but can be tailored to specific audiences. If you would like to schedule a presentation, contact us at sosinfo@sosalliance.org.
Eco-Tours
We also like to engage in outdoors, hands-on education, particularly snorkeling and walking tours of Barton Springs and Barton Creek. If you would like to have the SOS Alliance give a tour to a group of friends or families, contact us at sosinfo@sosalliance.org
You can also join our Meet-Up group for scheduled hikes and tours at http://www.meetup.com/SaveOurSprings/
