For more than 40 years, Bill Oliver, better known as "MrHabitat", has used music, humor, and storytelling to inspire people to care for the natural world. As Time magazine once dubbed Bill and his singing partner, they were true “Environmental Troubadours.”

Each year, an emerging artist will be recognized for using their voice and creativity to tell stories about our rivers, springs, wildlife, landscapes, and the challenges facing our shared environment. The award will celebrate not only artistic excellence, but heart-centered activism, community engagement, and the power of a good song to make people care and act! Applications coming soon.
