Bill Bunch

A native of San Antonio and Arlington, Bill left Texas to earn a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a law degree from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley. Bill returned to Texas to practice environmental law in Austin, first with the law firm founded by Stuart Henry, later as a sole practitioner, and then as chief counsel with the Save Our Springs Alliance. Bill was part of the group that drafted and successfully petitioned for the Save Our Springs Ordinance in 1992. Bill has been executive director since 2000.

 


Pat Gordon Brodnax

Pat oversees finances, development and the Outreach Education program. She produces all of SOS Alliance's major events and fundraisers. She received her degree from Louisiana State University and has received several certifications in financial management and non-profit management. Pat previously worked for the Texas Medical Association and  prior to that was part-owner in a woman-owned contracting business. Pat has been with SOS since 1999.

 

 

Kelly Davis

Kelly Davis is a native Austinite and staff attorney for Save Our Springs Alliance, where she focuses on transportation issues endangered species protection. Before joining SOS in 2014, Kelly worked as a teaching fellow and staff attorney at environmental law clinics at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, and the Institute for Public Representation at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. she supervised the student-representation of clients on environmental issues. Prior to her clinical work, she clerked for U.S. Senior District Judge William Wayne Justice and U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert L. Pitman at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. Kelly received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, where she served as president of the Environmental Law Society and Recent Developments Editor of the Texas Environmental Law Journal. Kelly earned a B.A. in Social and Environmental Justice from Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina.  In her free time she enjoys hiking, swimming and live music.

Lauren Ice

Lauren was born on the Texas Gulf Coast, and as a result has always loved the hot climate and the water. After her very first class in environmental studies at Austin College, Lauren immediately decided to pursue a career as an environmental activist. Lauren was a community organizer and senior field manager with the Texas Campaign for the Environment (TCE) from 2006 to 2008. She moved to Oregon in 2008, where she worked with the Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide (ELAW), an international group of public interest lawyers and scientists. Lauren was a legal intern with SOS in the summer of 2013, and graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law with a Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law in May of 2014. She began working as an attorney with SOS in 2014. When she isn’t fighting to protect our water, Lauren is usually sewing quilts, hiking and swimming, or enjoying craft beer with her husband.
