Save Our Springs Alliance urges all City of Austin voters to vote "yes" on City of Austin Proposition 13.
The ballot measure would authorize $30 million in general revenue bonds for the purchase of land and conservation easements in the Barton Springs Edwards Aquifer watershed. These lands would help protect the quality and quantity of rainfall runoff and recharge waters that provide the source of Barton Springs.
Please spread the word to all of your voting friends, neighbors and family members. If approved by Austin voters, Proposition 13 would continue a 20 year effort by Austin voters and private conservation landowners to protect and preserve over 28,000 acres of Barton Springs watershed lands. We need this additional funding now to permanently protect vulnerable Barton Springs watershed lands before they are developed.
